Shining a spotlight on our Alcohol and Drug Testing Services

21/10/21 – Company News

This month sees the launch of Medigold Health’s new bi-monthly Spotlight series, providing an opportunity for you all to get to know a bit more about our brands and the wide range of products and services we offer, and learn about the benefits they can bring for your business.

As Alcohol Awareness Week is taking place between 15-21 November, we thought we’d kick off the series by showcasing our Alcohol and Drug Testing services, delivered to you by our Hampton Knight Team.

So, where better to start than by giving you an insight into how it all began?

Hampton Knight Alcohol and Drug Testing – how it all began

Over the last 21 years, Hampton Knight has grown from a small family business into one of the UK’s most respected alcohol and drug testing providers, and throughout this extraordinary journey, we have always managed to maintain our reputation for consistently delivering the highest standards of service and care to our customers.

How did Hampton Knight earn this reputation and where did our journey start?

To find out, we caught up with Operations Director, Jo Hughes, whose father, Chris Wakeham, founded the Alcohol and Drug testing brand.

Having joined the family firm straight from school, Jo is one of Hampton Knight’s longest-serving employees and over the years has been involved in every area of the business, from admin to sales, to delivering awareness and competency training and even working as a collection technician! Her main focus now is developing long-term initiatives to ensure its continued success into the future.

Here, she discusses how her father came to establish the brand and how its incredible growth over the last two decades – from three members of staff operating out of her parents’ living room, to a team of 50 in an office in Tamworth, to ultimately becoming part of one of the country’s leading Occupational Health providers with a UK-wide network of over 100 collection technicians – has gone above and beyond what anyone could have expected when it was founded back in 2000.
